I am a year 10 student at Tauranga Boys' College. For the last 2 years, I have been a part of the Inquiry Programe which focuses on project based, self driven learning. Being a part of this stream has helped me both in my education, and outside of school. This is my last Inquiry, my whakamutunga. I want to pursue my favourite part of the Inquiry process; the expert interviews. This experience has been amazing and I hope I can leave my impact in the Inquiry classroom. To see my past Inquiries and to find out more about the Inquiry

The Inquiry Learning programme at Tauranga Boys' College is available to all Year 9 and 10 students by application. Currently there are two Year 9 classes and two Year 10 classes.

Why? To prepare our young men for success in their future as active Global citizens.

How? We use a cross curricular, student centered, project based approach for students to develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity and problem solving.

Our Students:

  • own their learning and have choice in what they learn about

  • work hard, manage their time, and have high standards

  • engage in real world issues and aspire to be change makers

  • show empathy and respect to others
